About CKatesBakes
CKatesBakes was founded in November of 2020 when I was a Pastry Arts student at Walnut Hill College. What started simply as an instagram account to share all of my baked goods gradually turned into a growing business. Now I've baked hundreds of cakes and cupcakes for countless special occasions - including baby showers, birthdays, weddings and more. I love learning new skills and techniques to continue creating unique desserts. I'm always accepting new customers and challenges- so reach out to me if you want to make your next celebration a little sweeter!
My Story
I have worked in the restaurant industry for over ten years. From hosting and serving to bartending and managing, I've learned a lot about the industry. Since my first job as a hostess in 2011, I just knew the hospitality industry was the place for me. Since then, my love of hospitality has continued to grow. Whether I'm baking for customers or mixing up cocktails for friends, I truly love making people happy through food and drinks.
After graduating from the University of Delaware in 2016, I was unsure of where to go next in my career. It wasn't until 2020 that I decided to take a leap and go back to school. I received an Associate's Degree in Pastry Arts from The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College in February of 2022. I'm so happy my love of baking and my passion for the hospitality industry has brought me onto this new path - and I can't wait to see what the journey has in store!
